Sassy Studio Designs cards

This cute image was the Friday freebie on the Papercraft Plant SSD group last Friday. Each Friday a freebie is posted for 24 hours, so get over there on Friday and get it while it's up! A lot of them are retired images that you can't buy anymore!

I've used the Outlawz sketch challenge from last Wednesday for the layout here.

I've got a second SSD card to share tonight. Over on the SSD blog we are sponsoring a challenge for OWH. They are the group who sends handmade cards to the troops stationed overseas for them to send home to loved ones. If you play along you have the chance to win two images! Pretty cool huh? Hope you will join the challenge.

This one was inspired by the Outlawz copic challenge last week, it was anything goes. I'm trying out some new colors and blending tips I got from my copic class with Suzanne Dean. I still need practice with darker colors.

Thanks for stopping by today!

This Kaela as an Angel is an older image and one of my favorites. She's glittered up on her wings, star and halo with a generous amount of stickles.

I've used the sketch from Deconstructed Sketches for the layout here.

Your next stop on the hop is Julie. I know she's got a fantastic card for you to see!

But before you leave, here is my trivia question for you: What 3 actresses star in the Halloween movie Hocus Pocus?

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope to see you at the party chat at 10pm EST tonight. The link is on the SSD blog.

Sassy Studio Designs Halloween release is coming!

I've got two sneak peeks for you today. SSD's first Halloween release is coming on Saturday. Yep, you read that right, there will be a second Halloween release in October.

My first card uses the Mistress of the night image, she was so much fun to color, especially all that hair. I don't really do spooky or scary, so I kept the colors fun and bright! My sketch here is from Digi Makeover Challenge. It was a really cool sketch to use, I like the top part that looks a bit like an envelope.

My second card used Dracula. My dh said he looked like Neil Diamond the way I colored him, but that's OK, I'm a fan, lol. These are some really great images, you can make them scary or, like me, make them a bit more playful. I used the Splitcoast Stampers sketch challenge for this one.

Make sure you stop by the SSD blog on Sat, there are always contests and give aways with each new release.

Card Recipes:

Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI, SU cardstocks, MME prints
Extras: copics, stickles, nesties, dimensionals, MS bat punch, MM glitter brads, recollections gem stones,  cuttlebug web embossing folder, sewing machine

Just a quickie post tonight. Last week I didn't have a chance to play along with one of my fave sketch challenges, so I wanted to make sure and play this week.

This is my take on Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp Sketchy Thursday sketch #146 for this week. Love this sketch, definitely will be one I come back to. I kept it simple and fairly flat, since it it going in my OWH box to donate to the soldiers.

Just got back from taking Suzanne Dean's copic classes in Delaware this past weekend-good times for sure! Now I need to take everything I learned and practice, practice, practice!
